When DAB Investments acquired 51-53 White Street, founder David Friedman had a clear and ambitious vision—not just to restore a historic structure, but to redefine high-end living in one of Manhattan’s most iconic neighborhoods.

From the outset, the project was more than just a development—it was a fully formed concept. David personally envisioned every aspect of the transformation, from architectural restoration and landmark approvals to interior design, construction planning, and the final sales strategy. He brought together a curated team of specialists across preservation, design, construction, and sales to align with and execute that vision with precision.

The result is a masterpiece of restoration and reinvention. The 19th-century cast iron and marble façade was meticulously preserved, while new life was added through the landmark-approved two-story penthouse addition. Inside, each unit reflects a commitment to sophisticated design and functional luxury—creating a lifestyle that’s as refined as it is livable.
